Crysis: Legion is novel adaptation of the new game Crysis 2. Without spoiling the plot, you are a new guy that were a team that was ambushed and saved by one guy in this combat suit. The guy gave you the suit and killed himself, having asked you to go on. The combat suit is special enough that it is keeping you alive despite your existing injuries.
Outside, the city of New York was invaded by some nasties and is being guarded by a bunch of mercs that "makes Blackwater look like the Red Cross". To make things worse, there is some sort of plague that eats people alive while turning them into having some sort of religious rapture. Your own side thinks you are a traitor. Aliens are out gunning for you. Others have ideas what you should be doing, and you don't even know which side to believe...
Such is the world of Crysis 2.
The action is interesting, but as fitting with the game, you are a voiceless entity, with things keep happening to you. You have no dialog, no voice, except a few thoughts here and there. The entire book is writtenin first-person (I this, I that) Also, for a trade-paperback the price is quite high (at about $16 in Borders).
At least the action is interesting. I would wait for the regular paperback version though.
Rating: Try it
